About Paris

I’m Paris (she/they), a content writer and student journalist based in the UK.

I specialise in creating engaging, research-backed content that makes complex ideas click. Whether I’m translating academic psychological research for mental health charities or analysing the mechanics of a video game on my blog, my focus is always on clear, compelling communication.

From 2021 to 2025, I worked as an English teacher in Japan. Creating lesson materials, designing interactive learning games, and contributing to a teachers’ newsletter drew me back to writing seriously. But I realised it wasn’t the classroom I loved most; it was the creativity.

That realisation brought me back to the UK to pursue a master's degree in Digital Media and Global Communication, where I’ve been developing my skills as a content writer and digital storyteller.

I currently work as Gaming Editor for my university’s newspaper and write content for a range of organisations. In my spare time, I publish long-form essays on Medium about games, film & TV, and my experiences in Japan.

While I have an enduring love for the interactive arts and gaming, I am equally at home writing about mental health, education, and travel, as I have a deep well of experience to draw on in these fields. My goal is to produce polished, impactful work that helps people and organisations tell their stories, whatever they may be.
